COMMUNITY MEETING You are invited to attend a short community meeting. The meeting provides an important opportunity for our school community to consider what additional funding would mean for students and to call upon the Prime Minister to fully fund our public schools. Tuesday 19 November 2:45pm to 3:15pm Tomaree High School MPC Please park at the pool and walk down. You will hear an important message from the NSW Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations and NSW Teachers Federation about the unacceptable state of public school funding and what you can do to make a difference for the future of your child’s education. NSW public schools face a funding gap of $1.9 billion just this year alone. Analysis by the NSW Department of Education shows that over the next four years the Federal government will provide $24.2 billion to the state’s 970 non-government schools, but only $14.3 billion to the 2216 public schools. This underfunding of public schools has serious consequences for our school community. Some of the unmet needs of our students and the aspirations we have for our school community will be discussed at the meeting. Full funding of public schools is the best investment we could make for our future. We hope you to see you at this important event. For those who can’t attend, please find out more by going to For Every Child and Email the PM –- For Every Child to ensure your voice is heard. https://www.foreverychild.au/ Yours sincerely Paul Baxter | Principal
