Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

As Principal of Tomaree High School and a long-time member of the Port Stephens community, I am proud to lead a school that values opportunity, respect, and belonging.

I believe in the power of public education to change lives—just as it did for me growing up in a small NSW country town. My wife and I are raising four children here, with two currently at Tomaree High School and two who have successfully graduated, so I understand the trust families place in us.

Our staff are committed to helping every student succeed—whether in academics, sport, the arts, or culture. We work together to create a safe, supportive environment where all students can thrive.

I welcome your ideas and involvement as we continue building strong connections between our school and community, making Tomaree High the school of choice for our region.

Paul Baxter, Principal of Tomaree High School
