Specialist Classes

Tomaree High School offers Specialist Classes in Years 7 and 8 designed to support students who demonstrate high potential in academic and sporting areas. These programs provide enriching opportunities that challenge students, extend their strengths and support their individual talents.

Academic Extension Class
For students who demonstrate strong academic potential. Students engage in challenging learning experiences, working through complex tasks that promote critical thinking, creativity and independent learning.

Excellence in Sport Class
For students who show strong sporting ability or potential. The program focuses on developing teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship while supporting students to balance sport and academic achievement.

Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA)

At Tomaree High School, the Creative and Performing Arts play a vibrant role in school life. Our CAPA program inspires students to explore their creativity, develop their talents and build confidence through a wide range of learning, performance and exhibition opportunities.

Tomaree High School provides many opportunities available to students in Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama, including curriculum courses, extension programs and performances that allow students to showcase their creativity and passion for the arts.
