Position Vacant | Community Liaison Officer
Tomaree High School is seeking an energetic Community Liaison Officer for 1 year - with the possibility of extension. This position does not require formal qualification though the successful applicant must have a good knowledge of the local community.
The position involves (though not limited to):
- Management and monitoring of all external facing community communications (e.g. Facebook, Website, electronic sign, parent portal)
- Positive promotion of THS events and achievements across socials and local media
- Coordination of all major school celebration events (e.g. academic awards ceremonies, Education Week, formal assemblies, NAIDOC assembly, Year 12 graduation)
- Grant writing and submission as applicable
- Coordination of participation in external events as they arise (e.g. Deadly Awards, local member leadership days, Women in Business breakfast)
- Working with the wellbeing team to seek donations and support for various events (e.g. breakfast club)
This position requires a person who is flexible, has the ability to manage their time effectively and work with minimal supervision.
Hours: 35 hours per week (including school holidays - ability to accrue flexitime) 4 weeks annual leave.
Wage: $73,393 (TBC)
This a child related position. The successful applicant must have a current paid WWCC and be fully COVID-19 vaccinated. If you are invited to interview you must have proof of both and undertake a Criminal Record check.
