Principal's Welcome

Welcome to our website and to some insights to our school.

Tomaree High is a school with a proud record of achievement in all aspects of schooling.

As Principal at Tomaree High I am excited to be working here. The school enjoys an enviable reputation throughout the area. With a broad curriculum, wide range of sporting opportunities and various pathways to work or tertiary education, our experienced staff enable students to gain the best possible results. Our external exam results, success in getting students into paid work through our terrific approach to helping those who do not want an HSC, our outstanding VET courses and successes in many sports offer opportunities to all students.

Student well-being is a central focus for us and the variety of support programs cater for the needs of students experiencing the wide range of issues and emotions teenagers face in their lives. It is a caring school.

The school has 6 support classes and the model we use is held up as best practice. The caring staff work closely with families to ready the students for life after school.

We have extremely strong support from local businesses. They provide work places and funding for programs that ready students for the workforce. Click on the "Real Futures" tab above to see how good the support is.

The parent community supports the school through the P&C and our Junior Aboriginal Consultative Education Group (AECG). Regular meetings feature consultation and information giving. SkoolBag and soon to be introduced Millennium Parent Portal are two avenues for sharing information with parents and students. Please download them to your device to stay in touch.

I invite you to inquire further about this excellent school and what it has to offer. Ring the school and make an appointment to speak to someone who will answer the questions you have and show you around our wonderful establishment.
