Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Tomaree High School SRC are nominated and elected in Term 3 of the school year.

Meetings are an integral part of the SRC, they are scheduled weekly with the SRC Executive meeting with the Principal each fortnight.

The SRC always have a project in the works, current projects

  • Classroom - Improvements & Technology (2 groups)
  • Playground - Improvements & Decoration (2 groups)

SRC Fundraising

Make March Purple 2023

The SRC got their purple on to raise awereness aound Epilepsy. Every week, 305 Australians are diagnosed with epilepsy. For many, this experience is life-changing. 

A huge $700 was donated to the Epilepsy Foundation, which helps to support individuals, families and carers with epilepsy.

 

PJ Day 2022

The SRC had another successful fundraiser supported by PRD Port Stephens who generously donated a whopping amount of snags from Hodges Butchery and The Lolly Bug - Nelson Bay who generously donated half the cost price of the sweets. 🍭

Tomaree High School students had a magic day dressed in their favourite PJs! 🌞

$800 was donated to the manager of the Yacaaba Centre to support the counselling this local charitable organisation provide to the Port Stephens area. ❤️

Pink Day 2022

AMAZING!

Today the SRC proudly presented a $2000 donation to Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group. Sarah Smith, president of TBCS Group and Christine Walton were delighted to accept this generous donation and said what a difference this would make as Covid had greatly impacted their fundraising efforts.

Tomaree High School staff member, Ms Blackwell and families of Parfitt, O'Flaherty, Clissold, Keating and Conroy contributed $450 towards the Pink Day fundraiser.

Thank you Aldi Salamander for your generous donation of supplies. Thank you to all the families who baked cakes and biscuits. Thank you SRC members. Thank you Mr Anderson for supporting the SRC. Thank you community for your dollars!

Australian Red Cross Fundraiser 2021

At the end of Term 4, 2021 students at Tomaree High School enjoyed an Out of Uniform Day and cake stalls organised by the SRC.  All funds were donated to Australian Red Cross and The Salvation Army.  A massive total amount of $1000 was donated!

    • Participation in the canteen and Wednesday Breakfast programs
    • Participation in the organisation and running of various events e.g. fundraisers, community events and orientation days.
